What is Indeed?

Indeed is a popular job search platform that aggregates listings from various sources like career pages, job boards, and newspapers. It allows candidates to search for jobs, apply, and research salaries and company reviews in one place, making the process streamlined for job seekers.

What is this integration about?

This integration allows published jobs in Factorial to automatically sync with Indeed’s job portal. The integration includes Indeed Apply, which simplifies the application process for job seekers, increasing the number of applicants. Changes to job postings in Factorial will sync to Indeed within 1-2 hours, while jobs changing status to anything other than "published" will expire on Indeed within 30-60 minutes.

Important: No changes made on Indeed will sync back to Factorial, so it is recommended to manage everything from Factorial.

Data Synchronization

• Job Openings: Only jobs that are in “published” status in Factorial will automatically sync with Indeed.
• Candidate Information: Candidates who apply via Indeed Apply will be sent to Factorial.
• Screener Questions: Jobs in Factorial with screener questions will have these questions automatically sent to Indeed if Indeed Apply is enabled. If a candidate fails a disqualifying question, their application will still be sent to Factorial but marked as rejected automatically.

Note: This functionality is only available if Indeed Apply is enabled. If not, candidates will be redirected to your Factorial careers page to complete their application.

Indeed Apply

Indeed Apply is a feature that simplifies the application process for job seekers, allowing them to quickly submit their applications. Jobs with Indeed Apply enabled typically receive 45% more applications. It only allows for the CV, cover letter, and phone number to be mandatory fields. Important: Other Personally Identifiable Information (PII), like Social Security Numbers (SSN), cannot be collected via screener questions.

How It Works

• Job Syncing and Updates: Job creation and updates take 1-2 hours to reflect on Indeed.
• Job Expiration: Jobs changing status from “published” to any other status in Factorial will expire on Indeed within 30-60 minutes.
• One-Way Sync: Any job edits made on Indeed will not sync back to Factorial. It is recommended to make all job edits in Factorial, and these will automatically sync to Indeed.
• Published Job URL: Indeed does not provide the job URL upon publication but sends it when a candidate applies via Indeed Apply. The URL is added to the promotion card after the first application.
• Screener Questions: To take full advantage of Indeed Apply, screener questions configured in Factorial will be sent to Indeed. If a candidate fails a disqualifying screener question, their application will still be sent to Factorial but will automatically appear in the rejected section.

Claiming Jobs

Clients who post jobs via Factorial’s ATS feed can claim these jobs by contacting Indeed’s customer support. Once claimed, clients can view all their jobs posted through Factorial’s feed in their Indeed Employer Dashboard.

What if a company already has an Indeed profile?

If you have an Indeed profile, we’ll match the source name with Indeed. This ensures that jobs posted through Factorial automatically appear on your Indeed employer dashboard, without needing to claim the source manually. You can then manage your jobs directly from your Indeed account.

Note: This integration is available for installation only for customers who have purchased the ATS module in their plan.
